Prince Edward Island Flags

Adopted in March 1964, the PEI flag contains the coat of arms of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, after whom the province was named. The island in the lower half of the flag shows 3 small oak trees which represent the 3 counties of PEI, overlooked by a grand oak which represents Great Britain.
